Last updated: May 13, 2026

Welcome to dooly. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of dooly, a private mobile application for two people in a relationship (the “Service”), provided by dooly (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. The Service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate sign-up information and to keep it current. If you suspect unauthorized use of your account, contact us at hello@getdooly.com.

dooly pairs each account with exactly one partner via an invite code. You may only be paired with one partner at a time. We do not facilitate group accounts or shared logins.

3. Acceptable Use

When using dooly, you agree NOT to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Your Content

You retain all rights to the messages, photos, and other content you create in dooly (“Your Content”). By using the Service, you grant dooly a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you and your partner.

We do NOT use Your Content to train artificial intelligence models, sell it to third parties, or display it to anyone outside the two-person space you share with your partner.

You are responsible for the content you create. We do not moderate private messages between partners.

5. End-to-End Encryption

Messages you send through dooly are end-to-end encrypted on your device using a key pair stored on your device’s secure storage. This means:

By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept this trade-off: privacy is preserved at the cost of message recovery in lost-device scenarios.

6. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

7. Service Availability and Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time. We will make a reasonable effort to give advance notice of material changes that affect your access to the Service.

We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app and update the “Last Updated” date below. Continued use of the Service after the change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the profile screen. Upon deletion:

We may also terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

9. Disclaimers

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against all attacks, or that messages will always be delivered. While we use industry-standard practices to protect your data, no service is 100% secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

In any event, our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless dooly from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any third party’s rights.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under the laws of your home jurisdiction that cannot be waived by contract.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and dooly regarding the Service, superseding any prior agreements.
